Xylem Inc.,
a leading global water technology company focused on addressing the
world’s most challenging water issues, announced its Dallas facility is
now ISO 9001:2008-certified.
The ISO 9000 family of standards is related to quality management
systems and designed to help organizations ensure that they meet the
needs of customers and other stakeholders while also meeting statutory
and regulatory requirements related to products. ISO 9001:2008 is the
ultimate global benchmark for quality management.
“We continue to monitor and improve product quality and the systems
that support this endeavor,” said Audrey Pinkerton, general manager,
Xylem AWS Dallas. “So we are very pleased that our quality management
system is now ISO 9001:2008-certified.”
The Dallas facility delivers top performance in the design and
manufacturing of packaged pumping systems, controls, and RO treatment
systems for irrigation, municipal, residential, commercial and
industrial applications. The ISO9001:2008 certification demonstrates
Xylem’s commitment to excellence for its industry-leading brands,
including A-C Fire Pump, Bell & Gossett®, Flowtronex, Goulds Water Technology, and Water Equipment Technologies.
Pinkerton added, “Strong quality management systems are a requirement
for companies to design and produce high quality products. Recognition
as an ISO 9001:2008 business lets our customers know that there is a
certified quality management system in place.”
The ISO 9001:2008 audit was performed by Det Norske Veritas
(DNV). DNV audits are recognized as the global benchmark for providing
assurance about the ability to satisfy quality requirements and to
enhance customer satisfaction.
