Rather, it's a novel (one of the most riveting I've
read) about a cross-country trucker who has a brush with the
supernatural when he turns off the Interstate in search of a quick
meal. He drives down a long narrow country road and eventually finds
himself in Furnace, Virginia, a small affluent town that's not quite
right. All he wants to do is grab a sandwich and make a U-turn, but
then all hell breaks loose. This one will keep you up nights.
