In Pompeii, you can still see the bodies of the people
who died when Vesuvius exploded during late August, 79 AD. The whole
story takes place over four days and it's so well told that you'll feel
as if you were there. I especially liked this one because the main
character is the Aquarius, the engineer in charge of the Roman
aqueducts. There's so much rich detail about the waterworks in this
book, and it's so well researched. It's also a fine action/adventure
tale, and a bit of a love story as well. I think you'll like it a lot.
