If you'd like to help Tim through this tough time, please kick in a few bucks by clicking the PayPal button. I'll gather the donations and get it to all him. I'm in...
The Czech is in the male. Thanks for all you do Tim. Get well soon. MEIt's not so much a case of "You got what you paid for", as it is a matter of "You DIDN'T get what you DIDN'T pay for, and you're NOT going to get what you thought you were in the way of comfort". Borrowed from Heatboy. -
Thanks, pal.

great cause for a great guy
Dan, thanks for setting up and administering this program. Timmie has given so much to this industry, it is only fitting we help him out a little as we can. I donated what I usually put into the collection plate at church but anything you can do will be greatly appreciated not only by Timmie but the Man Upstairs. We all know it could just as easily be any one of us in this shape. Get well soon Timmie and thanks for all you've done for this industry over the years. Think of all the lives you have positively impacted by your training and your character. Like Alan, another one of the really good guys! Warmest regards, Bob -

The catheter and foley are gone thank goodness. Now I have to wear a diaper for a while. Hey we start out that way I guess someday we all end up back in diapers, only temporary I hope. -

Tim, do you need help \"occupying\" yourself?
Tim, I am also having surgery on my back next week (I got everything covered guys....lotsa sick days at my disposal) and have called around for the last few weeks to everyone I know that keeps movies in digital form on their puters, so that while I am down I have hundreds of movies to choose from to stave off the boredon (I will be bedridden for at least a week). I currently have about 140 movies in digital format (you can watch them with quicktime) that I would be happy to send you (this would be a loan, of movies that I own, nothing pirated or illegal!!) To help you wile away the hours if you don't have other timekillers. Just let me know!! Don To Learn More About This Professional, Click Here to Visit Their Ad in "Find A Professional" -

Sinus Infection
If the antibiotics they gave you were strong enough, (and after surgery they should be THE STRONGEST) you shouldn't have ANY kind of infection in your body, let alone a sinus infection. Any infection in the body after surgery is not good. If you don't feel better real soon, DEMAND to be put on stronger antibiotics. An infection in your body while your body is trying to mend itself can be devastating. I know first hand. I almost died after having surgery from an infection, and the doctor I had (who was supposedly a leading cardiologist) just told me it was all in my head. If your doctor won't give you them, find one who will. YOU know your own body better than anyone, so listen to what your body is telling you, not to what the doctor is telling you. I kept telling the doctor I wasn't getting any better, just worse, and he told me I had anxiety from the surgery. That's what all doctors say to women who complain, "You have anxiety." He couldn't have been more wrong. -

This is a glowing testament to the character of the man
When you get this kind of response, it says a lot about the person. Would that we all would be so loved and respected as Timmie McElwain. Get well my friend, whom I've never met but admired from afar. Bob Harper -
Timmie

Once again let me say thank you
to everyone for your generosity. It is very much appreciated. The weekend was little rough with some complications starting Friday night with a temperature of 102.2 and some real distress, but today I am fine after some medication and rest. Tomorrow the catheter comes out thank God I hate the thing. Will see then what the orders are from the doctor. -

I will be home
like I am really going to be going anywhere. I look forward to seeing you Steve. -
Watch out for infection...
If you suspect you might have one, make sure you let your doctor know so that he can get you on antibiotics right away. Infections after surgery often occur for many reasons. He should have you on antibiotics right now as a precaution anyway. I had three surgeries in Boston (afer being misdiagnosed at a community hospital where I live) and they ALWAYS sent me home with strong antibiotics to take for at least a week as a precaution. -
N/A February 9, 2009 @ 4:41 PM
Thanks Kelly
I have been on antibiotics since the operation and even before surgery. They think I have a sinus infection (nothing to do with the operation) and my temp has been fine for two days now. -

There's no service charge from us.
That's just a link to PayPal. It should show whatever amount you enter, and you can enter any amount you choose. They get paid by taking a bit of what you've donated and sending me the balance. Thanks. -
