    Solar panel

Looking at different solar panels and vac tubes to offer customers and I'm wondering if any body has tried panels from Solarhot? Looks like they have a good rating and well built.

    Good Stuff

I use them on most of my panel installations. They have always worked well with me and helped with any design issues that have come up. Have met with Dan several times when he comes to Colorado to discuss upcoming products and design changes. The rep here in Colorado is a retired engineer who loves to help where he can. He has performed many RetScreen analysis sheets for jobs that would like to see their collection and payback. They also utilize a coating called Tinox which has 95% absorbency and only 4% emission. There are many good panels out there to try. I have just chosen to stick with the company who provides the best customer service and is there to answer any questions I may have. Their performance numbers speak very highly as well. Good luck with which ever route you choose. Mister T

    Panels

Have not used that particular manufacturer. For flat plate jobs I have been using Solar Skies, they are made right here in MN. For evac tube I like the service I get from Solar Panels Plus. They have the Appricus brand. If you have not already attended some courses/training I would definitely recommend them....its just hydronics but getting the efficiency out of the design is very important. We try to install drain back as much as possible, do a lot of space heating as well.

    All kinds

just getting into it or been into it for a while?Drain back? closed system? Check out Viessmann, Schueco,Heliodyne,Thermomax,Buderus and much more... As per tanks: like the Stieble Eltron some Heat flo and Viessmann also buderus has some nice Conical tanks. Contols: Stecca. Resol... Check:AAA solar in New Mexico(Old school and very cool),Solar Pro,AAE, Also check:Solar rating as in Btus per panel per day and ease of installation i.e. mounting hardwear and connections because it sucks having to tango with altering stuff on the roof when a crane is on standby and costing $150 to $220 per hr. good luck.
