Here's what we put in..
Two Lochinvar Knight KBN500
A Caleffi hydro air seperator
A Wilo Stratos pump as the primary
A Wilo Top S as a back-up
Three Belimo zone valves
Three Erie zone valves
A Tekmar 275 -
Nice!
Very nice. Some questions: Are the Belimo valves just on off zone valves or do they provide flow modulation, seems like a lot of actuator just to open and close a valve. If they do modulate flow what regulates this?
Why the back up for the Stratos? (with isolation valves) replacing a failed circ should not take very long. If the stratos runs for half as long as it should I would have concerns about the un-exercised back up circ. being frozen by the time it's called into service.
Also curious about the balancing valves, they look like differential bypass valves, are they designed to maintain consistent flow at variable head pressures? Since the Stratos will maintain constant pressure is this type of balancing valve still necessary?
This job is a showcase for efficiency improvement. Congratulations. -
cool
Very nice work.
Which model Belimo? Like 'em? Who's the MA distributor? -

Your impeccable work always stands-out & always shines through! -
Verrrrrry Niiiiiice!
Nice work Scott. You seriously need to post that on Knightheatingboiler.com as a registered installer. I am certain this would be a top contender in their monthly contest.
All the best from Nebraska,
Paul
