I am sure u have considered this, but, just in case, it would be great if u could check a box when u post or reply that would alert your email when someone responds or adds to the thread. this feature is found on some websites, but is probably technically not easy to set up. good luck with this great site! -
Others suggested that
and I ordered it. We'll have it soon. Thanks. -
great news
thats great news. i am glad i stumbled on your suggestions section.
if your computer people can set it up that fast please send them to me! its rare that i get good news with out an immense struggle! -
I know they're working on it this week.
We'll have it as soon as we can. Thanks. -
It's active now.
Enjoy! -
email link to post replys
great, i think i saw it working.
1 other idea. on the page that lists all of our posts under our user name history, if it was possible to see the count of if there are any replies, or when was the date of the last reply, you wouldn't have to fish through your old threads to check for anything recent within them. this is probably a touch request, but thought it mite help! thanks dan. -
I thought the Subscribe to the Thread feature would take care of that.
That's new and anything we added at this point wouldn't apply to the old posts in the data base. For instance, I spent some money getting the photos improved so that they enlarge when you click them into a light box and stay within the context of the user's screen. All the photos posted before the change, however, still look like they did. It's just the way it works.
Thanks, Mike. -
further appreciation
to you, Dan!
I'm so glad to be able to email subscribe to and bookmark threads again. it adds mucho value to the site for my purposes.
so thank you for being such a responsive administrator!!!
I just checked out Fine Homebuilding's "Breaktime" forum for the first time in a quite a while and it looks like they did a format change that took much of the life and vibrancy from the site. too bad, and to me, in great contrast with the transition we went through here, in no small part because of your willingness to respond to requests & suggestions from us users.
kudos!
