What should the high and low limits be set at? Also the differential?
149000 BTU heating capacity, approx. 225' hot water baseboard, one zone -

Question
Do you have a tankless coil in this boiler? or should I say does it provide your domestic hot water? If so hopefully it has a mixing valve. -
The high and low
the high and low is determine by what is required for your system. I always install systems to have a high of 180 or less and low 0f 160 or less. on this boiler a temp below 140 can can cause condensation issues. If you have a tankless you may need to go with 190 for your high but then a mixing valve should be added to the tankless to protect against burning water tempts at your faucets. If your system is stingy on emitters then you would need to run up to 190 or even 200 but this simply wastes fuel for a properly installed system. The amount of baseboard is not enough, unless it is high capacity, to take all the heat the boiler can make. What is the heat loss of the dwelling and what is the amount of baseboard per square foot of dwelling?Cost is what you spend , value is what you get. This post was edited by an admin on February 16, 2010 12:32 AM. -
The lowest setting that adequately meets your needs.
