    Indirect or condensing water heater?

    How do I compare efficiencies of condensing storage water heater and indirect tank heated with an Alpine boiler?

    short storage tank

    Does anyone know if there is a squat indirect water heater? Height is an issue, and I need at least a 60 or 80 gal tank

    Anthony: What is the max height of the location for the storage tank? you probably should start a new thread for your question.

    Compare the efficiency charts for each product with their corresponding water temperatures. An indirect boiler will see approx 160 at the return and you should be able to find a chart for the water heater and a given setpoint however they tend to be a little more difficult to find.
