Quik Trak Installation
I am getting ready to install one-half inch thick Quik Trak on an existing basement floor for radiant heating. The mfg recommends installing Quik Trak over 5/8 inch thick treated plywood. Contractors are telling me this will be difficult to install because:
1. Floor is not level and difficult to glue and keep plywood level.
2. Difficult to fasten plywood to concrete floor with ram set nails as over time they could dislodge and create movement over life of floor.
Does anyone have any recommendations of how to install plywood to an existing concrete floor. Thanks,

The proper way to add a subfloor to a basement concrete floor is by first installing a vapor barrier. Then install (at least) one layer of 2" rigid foam. And then install (at least) one layer of plywood. This is the recommended "floating" type subfloor for basements. And code doesn't allow untreated wood to be installed over concrete.
Hire a competent installer
If you hire a person well versed in radiant heat this should be a no brainer as far as doing it properly no matter the level of the floor. If you need to tel your installer how to do the work why are you hiring them? They should hire you!
