    Where to get rid of R22

    Ive got several dozen cans (soda can sized) of R22 that I found when cleaning out my late fathers basement. (He was in an HVAC related field at some point). This is from the 70s and 80s as far as I can tell.

    What is the correct/legal way to either sell or dispose of it. I'm not interested in getting in trouble. Can I sell it to a licensed HVAC person?

    dealer or supplier

    Check with your heating dealer. They may want it and be happy to take it off your hands.
