    New Boiler install

    HI,
    I had a plumbing contractor install a new Crown boiler over the holiday weekend. He removed old American Standard boiler that had a born date of 1948. This a one zone system including the basement.
    My question is although this is a one zone system should a flow control valve been installed ?

    Do you get domestic hot water from

    the boiler? If not with a single zone one circulator the flow control valve is really not necessary. I have seen inspectors require one anyway but really not necessary.

    It may be in the new pump?

    does it say ifc on the circulator pump?
