Once again Ugly!! Extremely Ugly!!
This is a series of pics of just one of the three different boiler rooms at a high end hunting lodge in Colorado. The installer obviously had no idea what he was doing. They have a hard time heating this area of the lodge as u can imagine. Notice the size of the pump next to the boiler, which has since been replaced. Hopefully owner will allow us to repipe the system soon.
Once Again, on another note:
You know, a lot of careful thought went into that piping job. It takes a keen mind to figure out how to get all those pipes in there and having them go somewhere. Nice soldering job. I'm particularly impressed by the lack of fruit (grapes and solder paste) on the soldered fittings.
Whomever replaces this better be careful. Although it is in contention to win a prize, whatever is wrong with may be something stupid and if it isn't figured out berfore changing out, one could replace a whole boiler and end up with the same bad performance.
This pipe goes here, this pipe goes there, this one goes over there, ,,, where does this one go?
Oh, my head hurts.
Maybe PEX is the answer.
