Averaging Zone Control
A building built in the early 80's have typical zones (split system with furnace) controlled by a Honeywell averaging control with three sensors. I am not sure it is Honeywell. Does anyone know how these work (so I don't have to do a lot of research). Do they make an averaging calculation, control by worst case, other?
Need some clarification
Normally, an averaging temperature sensing arrangement would have 4, 6 or 8 sensors. They work to provide an average temperature reading to the thermostat to control a single zone unit. Thermisters wired in a parallel/series arrangement.
By typical zones, what do you mean? A single zone per system? What makes you thing it is Honeywell if you're not sure? Have you been hired to do something to this system?
