    Industrial Combustion DEG

    I did some routine maintenance on this IC burner burning no.6 oil. I changed the nozzle all is well going from low fire to high fire, but when going back down to low fire unless it in manual and being adjusted very slowly the flame will extinguish and burner goes into safety. Anybody have any idea what is going on here?

    What temperature is the oil?  Was the gph same for same between nozzles?  It sounds too lean; it will light off with the excess air with the gas pilot, but on the way down to low without the pilot there it snuffs itself out.

    Any update?

    Just wondering if issues were cleared up with this burner?  Lots of views, and no replies.
