    constantly running circ

i recently took over our inlaws house, there is an oil fired american standard boiler with coil set at 140.house used to runout of hot water so they added a storage tank, with a 006 bronze taco pump circulating the water between coil and tank.on the bottom of storage tank there is an aquastat set at 140.pump doesnt stop running.what is the correct setting for both aquastats, shouldnt there be a difference.thanks in advance

    I would

set the boiler to maintain closer to 160 degrees. Chances are the thermostat for the aquabank is set for 125-130. That is too close to 140. If the tank still does not satisfy, then you either have a poor install, or a very bad coil. Is there a mixing valve on the coil outlet?
