Hydrocoil heating advantages?
We've had forced air heat for years and every winter my husband experiences nose bleeds, sinus issues and ringing in the ears from the dry air. We are building a house and want to put in baseboard but it will cost an additional 20K. We could do hydrocoil for 10K extra, but not sure if it will do the trick for his sinuses. I don't really understand hydrocoil heat but am told that it as almost as good as baseboard. Any advice from those who have it would be helpful.
Go with baseboard
it'll be worth the premium. Hydro-air ("hydro-coil") is just a hot-water coil placed in a duct. The air is still blown thru ducts, which blows dust and germs around.
