    maytag stove with gas log

have a customer in East Boston who does not have central heat the heat is off the stove the Johnson control gas valve for the gas log is not operating there is gas getting to the gas valve but not coming out of it could it be pilot generator or gas valve?

    You need to take some

millivolt readings to determine if it is the gas valve or generator or some other resistive cause in the circuit. Does the pilot stay lit? While you are at it clean the pilot.

    What are the numbers

on the Johnson Gas Valve? Do you even have gas to the valve? Are other gas appliances working? Is this natural gas or propane?
