    Heat Load Calculation

    I am doing a heat load on a new house and would like to know how to do a room with 2 1/2 walls to the outside and 1 1/2 adjacent to a garage and storage room that could see 30 degree temps (Fahrenheit).  The inside temp is 70 degrees - outside is 0 degrees.  How do I split the calculation?

    Basics for figuring heat loss thru an outside panel

    TI-TO divided by R-Value = btu sqft

    TI = Temp Indoor
    TO = Temp Outdoor

    Wall is 10' long 8' ceilings with no windows or doors.

    (70-0)/19 = 3.68 btu x 80 = 294.4 btuhr heat loss

    ( 70-30)/19 = 2.11 x 80 = 168.8 btuhr heat loss
