    clocking electronic gas meter

Is anyone familiar with an electronic gas meter? I went to clock the meter the other day, because I felt the unit was underfiring, and it was electronic. If I am reading it right, it is very easy to do. when the unit is running, there is 3 readings on the meter. The top number was fluctuating between 4000 and 4008, below that was x100, and below that was ft3. So I'm thinking 4000 x 100 = 40,000 btu. Could it be that simple? If so, then I was right about underfiring, because my boiler is 52,000 btu.

    Are you talking about

a digital meter or perhaps one with AMR (Automatic Meter Reading). What make is the meter and number on the meter. A picture would also help with a close up of the dial. Is this on a large commercial application?
