    Duct sealing

    we recently went through some BPI traning and are educating ourselves on duct sealing and duct testing. does anybody do either of these and if so what guidelines or codes are you following other than IECC

    Duct Sealing/testing

    Duct sealing & testing is another service provided by quality contractors.  Unfortunately, the need is there, since especially during the housing boom, many corners were cut and ductwork suffered a lot of it.  It should be a part of your IAQ offering, along with ventilation, humidification, filtration and zoning.  Your local codes are what you should follow, along with IECC.  Are you an ACCA member? If you are, they can point you toward best practices.  Good luck in your new venture.
