Boiler wont fire unless..
Hello
Emptied boiler to install some baseboard
Was not able to finish due to schedule,so I isolated 2 heat zones and left DHW alone
Boiler will now only fire if I manually open zone valve for DHW?
Boiler is "Purepro" with Beckett burner
Any ideas help is appreciated -
I'm
not following you.........If the boiler is empty, do not fire it. If you have an indirect water heater, it uses boiler water to heat domestic hot water. If you dry-fire that boiler, you'll destroy it. -
Boiler was refilled
Filled boiler to 15 psi before boiler was fired
Boiler is equiped with Honeywell L7224 aquastat
Also, boiler will fire when basement heat zone is calling..but does not fire for DHW when temp drops unless I manually open zone valve for it
Any help is appreciatedThis post was edited by an admin on June 16, 2012 10:03 AM. -
fix the problem
that is causing the zone valve not to open on temperature drop.If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy! -
Do you have....
A coil for DHW, or an indirect?
If a coil, then you have to troubleshoot your control.
If you have an indirect, you may still have air in the piping, or once again, troubleshoot the controlsteve -
Indirect
Superstor.. -
How...
How many wires are going to zone valve? My guess is that you are not sending 24 volts to theĀ valve or the valve head is bad. By manually opening it, you are closing the end switch. Which tells the boiler to fire. -
2 brown
with 3 white and 3 red wires connecting to zone valve -
Is there
A LWCO in the system? -
Ended up..
being a faulty aquastat on the domestic
