    Working on a gas fireplace with 750 mv controls.
    - Powerpile produces 550 mv open circuit
    -Pilot stays lit
    -Main valve dooes not open
    -Confirmed t'stat is providig closed circuit
    I am assuming defective gas valve and am looking for confirmation before spending $300.
