heat pump replacement
does anyone know of an r410a heat pump that has a 5/16 or 1/4 liquid line? i am in the process of submitting a proposal to replace a two ton heat pump system that has a 5/16 liquid line.running a new line set would be very difficult (completely finished walls and ceilings) it would result in less cost to the owner if the existing line set can be flused in re-used

410-A
I personally would change out the line set just because the original is probably old. 3/8" LL should be used for the proper volume of ref. being delivered to the TXV. This is a perfect example of why equipment shouldn't be crammed into a finished or tight space. Are you replacing the cond. only?

Rheem
They've always been OK with 1/4" liquid line on a 2 ton.

Thanks
Thanks for the help, I found a rheem heat pump that in the spec shows it's good with 1/4 liquid line. That will save this family a lot of money in material cost and drywall repair. Thanks again.
