Forced HW System Acting Strange
new to this forum-we have a 5 zone fhw heating system-when we turn the thermostat on in our living room nothing happens-when we turn the heat on in the main family room and/or the basement playroom/office the baseboard in the living room heats up-I replaced the thermostat in the LR with no change-it feels like there may be a wiring issue but have no idea where to start looking-would like to try and resolve myself if possible-any help ideas would be truly appreciated-look forward to any/all response-thanks in advance -
If
you zone with valves, it's probably a bad zone valve. Does the boiler fire, when that thermostat calls? -
ditto
can be a zone valve, air-bound, bad thermostat, dead or dying batteries. and so on -
With
no information about boiler, controls, or zone valves, it would be impossible for us to tell you where to look.It will be an easy fix for a tech. Once everything is up and running, take the time to learn your system. Everything you need is right in front of you.You can get manuals for every component of your system, and the pros here will help you with anything you don't understand. You know, according to Mr. Murphy, the boiler will always fail at the worst time. With a little knowledge, you may be able to keep your family warm.
