I think you're misparaphrasing Martin Holiday's response.  I believe he is trying to put forth an explanation as to why it is not common.  I have overwhelmingly found GBA to be an aggressive proponent of solar energy resources.

CNN had a reporter that thought meteors were studied by meteorologists, and that the increase in meteor activity could be caused by Global Warming!

Never said we were without idiots. I know plenty of people on both sides who's boiler installations I have to fix. To think all these people have college degrees of some level.
