    Wonky Pressuretrol

    I am about ready to take a bat to my heating system. We have a 32 year old Crown Jamaica boiler for our steam heat system. Original everything, I find myself running down to it several times a day when the heat doesn't come on. I find that if I tap the pigtail under the presurtrol she fires right up. No fun getting up in the middle of the night to a cold house. I feel like "the ol man" in that movies " Christmas Story" where the father keeps running downstairs to do battle with the furnace.

    clogged pigtail?

    Try cleaning the pigtail...

    And after you clean out the "Pigtail", be sure to check that the bottom of the control isn't blocked by spooge.
