    what is the proper way to install a vaporstat.I see some pics with a tee before relief valve and the bull of the tee going for vaporstat others are piped like a regular pressuretrol.also what is the correct gauge to use.Thanks guys

    Not sure whether there is

    a "correct" way to do it -- but so long as the vaporstat isn't subject to getting water in it...

    Mine is piped with a regular red brass pigtail, then a snubber, then the vaporstat.  The oddity in my install is that the vaporstat is on a tapping on the drop header, not on the boiler (there are two pressurstats on the boiler directly).

    I would go for a 0 to 3 psi gauge to go with it -- but keep in mind that you need to keep the 0 to 30 gauge to keep the building inspector and insurance fellow happy.

    Hoffman Equipped System (all original except boiler), Weil-McClain 580, 2.75 gph Carlin, Vapourstat 0.5 -- 6.0 ounces per square inch
