    Radiant schematic

The new house I bought has both radiant and baseboard heating currently installed. After doing some research I've discovered that the radiant heat portion isn't hooked up correctly and is cheaply rigged once it leaves the boiler ( no manifolds, uses same water temp as baseboard, etc.)

Here's a drawing of the current set up along with an actual picture.

I've also attached what I believe would be close to the new setup. I'm not sure if I'm missing anything so I could use some help.

One question I do have on my "new design" . Would I need two expansion tanks, one for the boiler side and one on the zone side?

Thanks ahead of time for any input.

    Mixing block

    Ben,
I mistakenly suggested an x block rather than a mixing  block. You don't need the heat exchanger.
     Here is the link  http://www.taco-hvac.com/en/products/Radiant%20Mixing%20Block%3Csup%3E%26reg%3B%3C/sup%3E%20RMB-1/products.html?current_category=120#

There are some good drawings in the installation manual. I would use one expansion tank and put it on the boiler side upstream of the boiler circulator.

what kind of radiant is it?

if it really needs the same temp as the baseboard, you could use reset on all of it.
