    Let's say I wanted to install a two-pipe steam system in a house without a basement. The radiators would be on the same plane as the boiler. If I used a condensate pump and a check valve, would this work? I know, a new two-pipe steam system is slightly ridiculous.

    You would need

    a trap on each steam line drip, in addition to the ones on the radiators. Do not "Master Trap" the line to the boiler-feed pump's tank.     How 'bout\" an....

    overhead steam main and using the boiler pressure to push the condensate up to an overhead condensate line. Could do this at each rad or differential loop style. Just thinking out load. Boilerpro
