    Occasional home in the mountains

There is no other way to describe this project. When completed, it will have 3 Buderi 2 stage boilers, 14 zones of RFH, 4 zones of snowmelt and three hot tubs. The home will be cooled via underground tunnels. Can't wait to see what it looks like when its done. Thanks to the great folks at Shamrock Sales for the bidding opportunity. Wish we could have figured out a way to utilize your heat sources. Next one for sure. And a million thanks to Robert, Tim and Tom for propping me up in the corner in front of the blast furnaces when I wasn't feeling well. You guys are the greatest. Glad to be home and on this side of the lawn, I think... ME

    Hoo boy!

That's a beaut of a job! What model Bud's are you using? Oily fuel or gaseous? Burners? Tell me more about the tunnels?

    Da Boilahs...

are natural gas G334's with 2:1 turn down@301 KBTUH max capacity each. The two boilers you see in the picture are Raypaks. We've saved them over the years and use them for temp heat on jobs like this. I think I forgot to mention that we'll have two 119 gallon SuperStor DHW tanks in addition to all the other loads... It'll be a while before we actually set the final equipment, like this summer. Got a few miles of tubing to install first:-) ME

    Thanks Weezy!

We strive to please. The HO is an electrical engineer, and he installed his own RFH system in his "Guest Home" that's about a mile away from this one. His Swiss care taker came by the job the second day we were on site and said "HOY, dat looks a lot differnt than what's in his udder haus..." Tells me they had 57 leaks in mechanical and soldered joints. I guess that's why the HO decided not to DIY it on this one. We aim to please... ME

    Cooling tunnels

Nice looking shack! Can you elaborate on the cooling tunnels? Sounds interesting. Keep the progress pics coming on this one. -DF To Learn More About This Professional, Click Here to Visit Their Ad in "Find A Professional"

    The Cooling tunnels...

are made of 36" diameter corrugated PE culvert pipe. I've not been made privy to the actual operation and or intent, but I was made aware that the HO had researched it thoroughly, and went to the extra expense to include it in the construction details. He're a picture of the tunnel terminations. Combustion air and ventilation air are being provided by the same tunnels. ME

Show what kind of a hockey nation we really are, one of our sports channels is now regulary showing Swedish games. I find that I get my fill from my 13 year old. well luckily

being in Vancouver, most of the travel is within an hours' time, but we do occasionally go to Bellingham or Seattle. Yeah, my son loves it also. Leo G
