Expansion tank brackets
Last week there was a post showing a c-channel bracket that went around a extrol tank - the author was nice enough to give the size and a source. I was not quick enough to save the information. Anyone know where to get these? Thanks To Learn More About This Professional, Click Here to Visit Their Ad in "Find A Professional" -
Channel Straps
for x-tanks; 8" IPS for size 15 tanks and 10" IPS for size 30 tanks. They're available at a good plumbing wholesaler. To Learn More About This Professional, Click Here to Visit Their Ad in "Find A Professional" -
Mupro is one vendor I use
They make a Spiral clamp that works really well around expansion tanks. Here is a picture (Mupro 2) with an Amtrol EX-15 and a 8" clamp. Hotrod's picture (Mupro 1) is an Amtrol EX-60 with a 10" spiral clamp and the insulator removed. If your in a pinch, use a "riser clamp" and use all-thread rod to support it out from the wall. Hope this helps. Regards, PR Biggerstaffradiantsolutions.com To Learn More About This Professional, Click Here to Visit Their Ad in "Find A Professional" -
strange hook-up
why a gas cock on a extrol tank & a union ?? -
Future...
It is a simple isolation and disconnect. ½" gas cock is less expensive and has a smaller profile that a ½" IPS ballvalve, and the union is just makes it simple quick disconnect for changeouts. The Wirsbo SSC fitting is for my ½" pex connection to the bottom of my Air-separator. Regards, PR To Learn More About This Professional, Click Here to Visit Their Ad in "Find A Professional" -

ah so figured there must be a reason. we actually pay roughly the same for gas cocks & ball valves and like the feel of spinning the tank around so no onions for us. i thought it might be a special type of tank valve . lol
