CLASSIC !
Buck Henry's first writing job. (You older fellas may remeber him from his stints on Saturday Night Live...the guy who John Belushi actually hit in the ear with the Samuri sword in one of the deli skits!)The sliding door opening was his idea...afterall,Smart was a spy for Control. I think the Karman Ghia was traded for an Opel GT in the last 3 years of the series. Don Adams Barbara Feldon,Edward Platt, and now for the big question...Who was the "enemy"? Bonus question...What was the Control robot that was Maxwells assistant named? Chris -
KAOS was the enemy and the Robot was Hymie.

Anyone remember
the Get Smart movie, "The Nude Bomb"? Think of all the lines you wished the TV censors would have allowed, and you get the idea. Edward Platt had become a Dead Man by then, and the movie was dedicated to him. To Learn More About This Professional, Click Here to Visit Their Ad in "Find A Professional" -

That was a great show,,,,
at a great time. Ya, I knew about Buck Henry, and the show also had alot of other guest stars on-it too, remember Bernie Kopell? (Zigfried), or I forget his name, but the oriental guy who used to be "not the craw, the craw", (the claw) and remember the guy who was always in a mailbox, or some really "wierd" place, remember the "cone of silence", thinking back, it was a great time! I just thought some of you, who remember, would get a "kick" out of it! -
My favorite
I think Mel Brooks was also a writer for the show. Agent 99 (Barbara Feldon) was one of my first crushes. As someobe else posted The Craw not Craw was one of the funniest episodes. Who can forget Max's,(I think I have this right) This ship is surrounded by the 7th fleet, No ,would you believe the 3rd fleet? No, How about a hungry school of flounder? Great stuff! -
That DOES bring back memories.
Wasn't the first car a Hillman Minx, then the Karmann Ghia, then the Opel GT? "Cone of Silence"!!! Wish I had one of those at home! -
first car
was a sunbeam tiger. I second that thought on the cone of silence. -
YES!!!!
It was a Sunbeam Tiger! I think "Columbo" drove the Hillman. -

I figured,,,,,,,
you were still around Al. Kinda neat to put work behind for a little-while, and have a laugh or two! -
Get Smart cars
First car (in the black and white pilot only) was a Ferrari 250GT. First four years, a red Sunbeam Tiger. During seasons 3 and 4, in the opening credits only, a blue Karmann Ghia. Season 5, a gold Opel GT. -
The car was a SUNBEAM TIGER
-
99
