Efficiency AFUE or Stack combustion efficiency

@ February 16, 2004 4:05 PM in seeking input on Munchkin dependability

AFUE (Anual Flue Utilization Efficiency)is a fixed rating achived under strick qudelins and specific testing criterior. It remains constant. Stack efficiencies change based on co2 and stack temperature. The Munchkin brings the return water from the heating media back through a set of coils behind the target wall that are cooler than the flue gas being exspelled out in to the atmosphere that has to run passed them thus sucking the temperature out of the flue gas and transfering it in to the water for reuse thus decreasing the flue gas temp being exspelled. The temperture of the return controls the efficiency by sucking the flue gas temps down to no greater than 140* and down to say 70* this produces 100% or greater STACK efficiencies.

center with an end sw to bring on the Munchie or use one of our pool heaters it is a 20 gallon tank with 1 1/2" supply and return and installa aquastat on it and let it cntrol the water temp in the tank and have all the zone pumps pull from it. This will simplify it all. You must use primary pumping.

Nice peice of work lad meets my approval and that hard to do

@ February 11, 2004 6:10 PM in almost got a Munchkin; also, will they ever make 'tween sizes?

The T50 and the T80 with 5:1 turn down now. Thanks for considering the use of our product. As you can see the Munchkin is a very poular system that is why it is worth the wait. When you want the best the best is waiting for you.

To ensure enough volume of gas can go to the unit

@ February 10, 2004 8:01 PM in Hey munchkin man

If piping say an 80,000 80M with a short peice of 1/2" ID pipe you would still have plenty of gas however the lenght has a limitthat if exceeded the rate will drop off quickley, and we have found it better to be safe. See instructions are like the speed limit. If we say 55 mph most contractors will go 70 mph. We like to keep the odds in your and our favor. Buy the way our manual references the lenghts vrs sise and shows you the btu's available. Thanks

THE HOLE IN THE BARB IS AN ANTI SYPHIN FIX

@ February 10, 2004 7:51 PM in Another Munchkin concern

SO JOHNS IDEA WILL WORK FINE AND I HAVE SEEN IT DONE MANY TIMES NOT OLY ON THE MUNVHKIN BUT MANY OTHER CONDESING UNITS.

The modulation of the Munchkin will not cause the reg tp blow

@ February 9, 2004 9:15 PM in munchkin

The main problem I have seen and heard of with the second stage reg is freezing if the first stage reg is letting the gas out of the tank to fast as liquid. This is at some -40 so it freezes any moisture in the second stage reg. Never saw a reg blow up from modulation. The reg being less than ten feet from the Munchkin can cause the flame to pulsate because the diaphram is moving up and down violently trying to stabelize. Hey Tim

Hey Mr. Wade you caught that ya??? Glade to be of service
