I have 4 new boxes of 3/8" Joist track pt# A5080375.  There are 20 tracks per box.  Plans changed, didn't install them.  I'd like to get $350.00 for all 4 boxes. Paid $126.00 per box.

Adding and oversizing baseboard

@ December 30, 2009 4:22 PM in adding baseboard

We bought our house 5yrs ago, boiler in the 35 year old house was Weil Mclain gas boiler of 140K-btu’s , no zoning.   After the 1st year, performed a heat load calculation on 1900sqft 2-story house which is 48K-btu’s.  I installed a WM-Ultra 105 and an indirect water heater. I throttled the boiler down to 50K-btu’s, max water temp 140 deg at 18 deg oat, zoned the house, 2-zones, upstairs/downstairs.   Replaced the old baseboards with high output baseboards, and added a few extra sections!  The boiler runs steady at 18 deg oat and it keeps it a comfy 70 degs.  It almost feels like radiant floor heat when it runs at 18 deg oat, a wall of warmth.  Doing all the above I saw about a 35% drop in CCF of gas and the house feels a little warmer!

High Capacity Baseboard

@ January 26, 2009 5:23 PM in High capacity baseboard

I have 80ft of Weil Mclain High Trim baseboard on each floor , which is zoned as 2 zones. The Boiler is a Weil Mclain Ultra 105. My heatloss is 48Kbtu's, I dropped the boiler down to 45Kbtu's with a max water temp 142 degs and set the outdoor reset temp at 18 degs. Last week when it was 2 to 4 degrees the boiler was running constant circulation. The house was comfortable maintaining 70 degs no problem. My condensate pump was running alot, which is a good thing!

@ November 13, 2007 12:29 PM in HELP, Weil-Mclain Ultra 155 is not modulating

Is there a parameter listed for temp boost in your manual? If not contact your local tech or regional are rep. I checked WM site, no tech manual for series 1. Our company installed maybe 1 or 2 of the series 1, rest of our installs the past couple of years has been series 2, haven't had any problems with them!

> Can you recomend a good tech in my area to check
> it out?

Tom I installed an Ultra 105 3 years ago, and have changed some of my settings to squeeze more out of it for comfort and efficiency! Par #11 is temp boost, what is it set at? Factory setting is 10! Every 10 mins it will raise the temp 18 degs until the room temp has been met! I run mine at 0, so there is no temp boost! The system runs almost continuos and the condensate pump runs alot! Which is gooood! Better efficiency at lower return temp! Changing par# 11 to 0, & my outside temp 47-50 deg, my target temp is 94-112 but if I change par #11 to between 1 & 30mins it raises the target temp up to about 156 deg at the same outside temp of 47-50deg! My high limit is 160! Hope this info helps! Mike
