Hey Jeff I’m right here! Yes, as Joel said, it was a collaborative effort of The New England Hydronic Heat Association. I was in charge of the Vitodens install along with the piping of the controls and manifolds and I helped Richard with the Radiant design so we got the right Wirsbo materials. Another company was in charge of the tubing install. It was fun to work with other companies to complete this project. It was fun to work with Richard, if anyone gets a chance to do a show with him do it! Just get an ankle bracelet for him with a beeper. Tom’s guys were also great to work with all we had to do was ask for something and it was done. Jeff, are you going to HCT this year? I will be calling DF in the morning to see if he is going. I have over 400 installed with maybe only 4 or 5 heads that went bad. Heads were replaced by Taco with no problems. They stand behind their products and are willing to listen to the end use of thier products to make the product better.Supply and Return

If you use the program as I do and think that the pricing is always up to date as it should be think again. I have lost a good chunk of change and not to happy about it; because I depended on the programming to be up to date with the pricing and to top it off you can’t change the prices manually in the database. Now there is going to be another price increase on July 1st. Hope the update comes out before the end of June.WES

This picture was taken just before Dan asked me "What if it don't work" What kind of question is that? Well Dan it worked, the whole 27,000 sqft, the other day with 2"-3" of snow. The only areas that had snow were the areas we didn't have tubing. I still can believe you asked me that question also thank you for leaveing your ants at home. What if it doesn't work?

Tim, is the boat sinking? With you leaving they have a big hole to fix. Who I'm going to call now that I can trust to help me fast? Make sure you let me know where you land. I will send you pictures of the first snow storm so you can see the system that we designed at Taco working. If you ever need anything give me a call!Pro Press Rings

I was told NO enless we changed the rings inside the fitting. The information that I got wasn't all that sure even if we changed the rings so we didn't use propress.Kn-20's

The job is located at Taco, it is the Snow-Melt system for there new warehouse facility loading dock area which is right off a street and no where to put snow.. The requirements for this system were it had to be show room quality showing off as many new products as Taco could supply. The Taco Load match program was used to design the piping layout with help from the Taco engineers. GREAT bunch of guys! Believe me when I say this it starts from the top down. The 4 Companies for this job were Advanced Comfort Systems, Inc., JV Mechanical, Inc, Dom’s Radiant Heat, and Gronski Plumbing and Heating. I sat down and designed the snow-melt tubing layout. I than called in my good buddy Tim Doran and got his inputs and changed some things around. Once the tubing layout was nailed down I went and sat down with Vic from JV Mechanical and we came up with the Mechanical room layout. Once the job started Advanced Comfort and Dom’s Radiant heat installed the tubing I think it came out to 9.8 miles of ¾ aquapex . We use 4” HDPE for the headers. The tubing took us about 6 days to install. Once we got into the boiler room it was Advanced Comfort, JV Mechanical and Gronski Plumbing and Heating. Vic talked us into using Propress. Most of the piping was 3” and 4”. I will never ever solder anything over 2” again and I think Steve will agree with me. If we had the room all to ourselves with no one else in there I think we could have completed all the piping in 2 days. I had the control panel designed to our specifications and it came out great. The item hanging on the wall is a Runni water heater for domestic hot water, safety showers and eye washes thru the new building with the solar as a supplement. The solar panels on the roof are Vitosol 300. The reason for two different 120gal tanks is we got one at a good deal. After doing this project I am looking forward to try and do more like it with the rest of our group we have here in New England. There were no personality issues and all our crews got along great! We are just about ready to fire it. Dan, you know I am ready able and willing to do a project with you. Have truck will travel.Snow-Melt System

This is what can happen when contractors get together. This is a 27,000 sqft Snow-Melt system installed by 4 different contractors working together. It was great! I tried to do this on a job with DF but, the job never came to life. Thanks Ted!
