I just checked another one of my Munchkins at a laundromat that was installed 2 years ago. It was pretty clean it the coil was greenish in color (lime). I cleaned it with CLR and flushed the condesate line. I got one more to clean. I have to say it is very easy to clean these units.Utica UB95M 200

I am trying to help my friend find someone in Bergen County NJ who is familiar with the Utica 95M200. He has a new house around 3500sqft and a licensed plumber installed this unit (first time) and he has been getting very high gas bills, around $900 a month the past 2 months. He is looking for a pro who can check it out and see if it setup correctly. Thanks Pete@ January 23, 2008 6:26 PM in Pro's & Con's of tankless water heaters
1 large washer can draw 5 gal per minute. A average size laundry of 30 washers would need so many it would not be feasible. Thats why some people put 3 in with a storage tank. I think a modcon with a storage would be more efficient.Tankless

They are pushing these units for commercial use in laundromats. There is no way they can keep up, so some people recirculate to a tank.@ January 23, 2008 10:10 AM in Munchkin
I don't think I am getting any lint in. I will check the chamber every 6 months as you suggest. Do you think these units are good for a laundromat assuming they are properly installed? Thanks@ January 23, 2008 9:11 AM in Munchkin
I have them located in the basement and vented straight up thru the roof. I believe they are from any chlorine fumes.@ January 23, 2008 1:20 AM in Munchkin
Justin, Thanks for the info. I have 2 more units at another laundromat that are 2 years old and I never cleaned them. I will clean them this week. How do you think these units will hold up in a laundromat?@ January 23, 2008 12:40 AM in Munchkin
I think the pump I replaced was a Armstrong E9B. What is better the B&G PL36b or the Armstrong E9B?Munchkin

I have 1 year old Munchkin VWH in a laundromat that failed today with a F09 code. The drain was clogged. Also the pump was leaking alot of water from the seal. I replaced the pump with a new one a B&G PL36B, the one that came with it had no name on it. The I checked the combustion chamber and was amazed at how dirty it was. I cleaned and scrubbed it down with CLR and put it back together. I guess I will have to do this once a year.2006

I have a 2006 Tacoma with 70k miles on it. At 30k I had a bad left front wheel bearing covered under warranty. Now at 70K I have a bad right wheel bearing. Also my rear axel on the right is leaking oil on to my drums. My outdoor temp gauge also doesnt work. I still like the truck.
