Fitting question

@ June 25, 2013 3:56 PM in Fitting question

About 25 years ago I plumber friend of mine noticed a street ell in a gas piping system I did. I was told that you shouldn't ever use St. ells in a gas system because the male section of it has a reduced inside diameter than regular pipe.
Well 25 years later I just heard the same thing
BTW the inspector never said anything and only now did I hear this again.
Truth or fiction?

Geez, Let me guess!

@ June 22, 2013 1:48 PM in Dumb

When you two aren't doing heating...You're writers for a fortune cookie company?:)

About dumb

@ June 20, 2013 6:09 PM in Dumb

I'm confused. Now back to our fearless leaders original post. Let me see if I have this right.
1) Guy walks into Ford dealer.
2) Gut sits and reads some auto enthusiast periodicals praising vehicles other than Fords
3) Guy meets with salesman.
4) Guy drives off lot with new Ford product.
5) Car dealer goes to bank.
Believe you me I'm no stranger to the word dumb
Man that word covers plenty of ground.
Hope this helps:)

Just wondering

@ June 13, 2013 4:25 PM in How the Europeans do it?

Chris, where  here in LA did you attend school and when? I briefly attended the public system there. What I remember most was the court ordered busing to my school in Woodland Hills. What a different world!

While were bashing China...

@ June 8, 2013 10:31 AM in Buy American

Look at it from their point of view. Every day they wake up the trillion dollar plus of US debt, they bought, is worth less everyday. But they're still buying. So things do come around full circle:).

What I like is that...

coil of copper in the first Pic.  Looks like expansion joint to the Max but with quite an artistic flair. Gotta get one:)

Easy now

@ May 18, 2013 4:42 AM in Lofgren case settles...

No one needs that. In the law and insurance business you have to have an acceptance of what it is. There are things that are going to happen which you may not like. You have to live with it.
Those lines are what I was told by a very prominent lawyer along time ago.

Why not?

@ May 15, 2013 3:39 AM in Plumbing Forum?

It's those background checks that get tricky!:)

Whew!

@ May 14, 2013 1:34 PM in Plumbing Forum?

I wish the guy who started this whole thing would just ask the damn question instead of seeking permission:)

Kitchen faucets??

@ May 12, 2013 5:24 PM in Need opinions on kitchen faucet brands

It must be Mother's day. While you are out and about, in addition to the new faucet, pick her up a new chain saw :)!! Sounds like a Hallmark moment!

Exactly

@ May 12, 2013 2:16 PM in Steam at Work

What a trip! I grew up around that area. Went to a high school about 100 miles east.
Great stuff!

Can you actually do that?

@ May 7, 2013 6:12 PM in Taco on Fox Business News

I would love to walk through the factory and watch this stuff being put together. I'd pay for it. Taco has a kind of Smithsonian aura!

Too much stuff

@ May 3, 2013 2:32 AM in Lesson learned NEVER let the wife tag along to the home show

We get a delivery from UPS or Fedex about once a week. Most of the time, what it is, isn't made known to me.
I've made it very clear to both of the drivers that we are seeing way too much of each other. This week the UPS gal saw me standing in the doorway dreading yet another package. She started this shuffle with her shoulders and hips and loudly humming the tune from Jaws.
Well today I saw the auto child seat on the garage floor.Oh no I thought, she's coming home with something so big that the back seat had to be flipped down. Luckily she was just helping a friend with the SUV. Sigh of relief. Whew, that was a close one:).

And...

@ May 1, 2013 12:19 PM in Honeywell Mixing Valve

I looked and could not find any. Can you come up with some literature?

Same

@ April 26, 2013 8:57 PM in Very Nice

I'm wondering if the tune was the inspiration for Valley girl by Frank and Moon unit. Although Frank was all original and a genius.

Question

@ April 20, 2013 11:11 PM in come on wethead buddies

What is the most controversial, mixed up, over analyzed, under analyzed, rarely understood, seemingly simple but with lots of baggage, and will never have a ending to it's meaning in the hydronic world?
I think I just earned a $100.00
Now I'll take delta P for $100.00

Palin ville??

@ April 19, 2013 2:03 AM in trouble free furnaces

Easy now - Last I heard she now is residing in Arizona, which is a good place for her!
As for ourselves it's Indian. You know it's between Girdwood and the big city.

?

@ April 16, 2013 6:19 PM in trouble free furnaces

Hi Rick

@ April 16, 2013 6:14 PM in trouble free furnaces

That's a tough question. BTW I ran into an Enstar guy I know and he told me about gas down there. There is a meeting for anyone at Badarki Inn at the end of June. His discription of it was "How not to blow yourselves up" :)

Air in line affect heat output?

@ April 15, 2013 5:14 PM in Will air in line effect heat output of BB

Of course I'm in agreement with every written up top.
Back to orriginal queston. After a good power purge it now has a fresh jolt of oxygen. And from this gas comes microbubbles wanting to wreak havoc on the iron stuff.
It's my understanding that these microbubbles do in fact provide insulation causing the emmiters to not release as many BTU's. Of course this would need validation in a Lab.
Question:
Will air in line affect heat output of BB? Yes,final

Or is it like Lactose free?

@ April 9, 2013 5:15 PM in Single faucet issues

Did you ever notice that skim lactose free milk tastes just like regular whole milk?
See that? Not only do you aid in keeping yourselves and others from freezing to death, but also get nutritional and/or gourmet tips! What a site!
Now about your plumbing- Is the dip tube rotting? Of course if you have a tanklees my point is moot.

Another interesting development

@ April 5, 2013 12:42 AM in Colorado Monoxide Case Moves Toward Trial

During this whole thing I've never read about who owns the house. I'm sure their homeowners policy was hit for the policy limit. Whoever the owners are they must feel horrible.
Taking on a case like this is a complex and expensive matter. Both sides must feel rather confident in themselves.
My bet- They will settle
