Wow, I'm sold!

@ October 10, 2008 12:53 AM in MOD/CON BUFFER TANK & DHW

Thanks Mark. I have a mod/con with a Smart 40 w/ a 194* dhw boiler supply stpt I'd love to try the Ergomax w/ a 140* dhw boiler supply temp delivering unlimited 130* dhw sounds very effeicent. I might have an idea for Brian put the high temp zones p/s piping with the Ergomax and then DONT use the injection pump and control but instead use SH mode with outdoor reset for low temp zones piped p/s and the money you might of spent on injection pump and control use a small 20 gal buffertank but pipe it to get hydralic seperation and put a auto air vent on top then I'd call it a hydro/dirt/air seperator buffertank. my 0.00 wannabe tech

I wonder if

@ September 25, 2008 11:53 PM in 3 way 24v zone valve?

maybe the normally open side of three way valve supplied the heating zones and the normally closed port would supply the priority zone DHW thats easy to get wired, one zone calls for heat valve opens, think about it?

Antifreeze why?

@ September 18, 2008 1:30 AM in Sunrad Radiators

Its not cheap, is it for freeze protection? If not but you want corrosion inhibitors I like Rhomar.

HSI or SPARK ?

@ September 18, 2008 1:09 AM in Fenwal Ignition Controls and Raypak

Try Honeywell universal modules, 2wks ago I replaced a HSI module that was only less than 2yr old (residential) boiler was short cycling all summer cause of a bad DHW zone pump I think the module got tired and wore out.

Jason, thanks for the update on your boiler, that settles that, since HTP warranty is only good to original purchaser I would have done the same thing, enjoy your TT Prestige! Gerry

Der Heatmeister, do you agree the leaky heat exchanger caused the combustion chamber to foul so badly and destroy the target wall?

@ September 16, 2008 10:58 AM in Munchkin HX plugging

I,m new to internet this is my favorite site i couldn't sleeep after i saw picture of this boiler hx man thats bad i'm certain its a leaking hx possible causes:water quality, non barrier tubing with iron pumps/iron components, blocked condensate, piping may not be as per manufacture instructions. correct any installation issues when you replace that boiler.

Check out HRA and high deductable plans

@ September 9, 2008 12:50 AM in Health insurance

My boss has complained about how much more expensive insurance gets plus we spend 3-4,000 a year with a growing family of 5 kids. This spring we changed to a personal Health Ins. with Humana monthly premiums are much lower. Specifically 5,000$ deductable and set up an HSA account plus my boss set up a HRA (Health Reimbursment Account) Through this we get reimbursed for the monthly premiums plus another 2500 a year, this is applied to anything that qualifies. So far we like it & no money out of my pocket yet and boss is saving money as well.
