pipe unions flow requirements

we had a argument at work today that pipe unions have no flow requirements and I said they do..  Does anyone have written proof that there is a flow requirement? Thanks jeff

after you cut off nut put blade inside of tail pc make 2 cuts just far enough not 2 cut the treads then that a small chisel or screwdriver and a hammer bust out the small pc between the cuts then collapse the remaining pc then that it out

dose anyone have any info on a flow balance valve on the dicharge of a pump the name is aaf illinois, moline ill. I have 3 of them in a system they are 3" valve there is 6 bold on the face with an arrow which is going against flow

i put pipe dope or antisezzis on the threads and on the shoulder under the nut so it not a dry metal to metal it always helps me. you can get to go little tighter that way.. were in wisconsin are you i'm in west allis jeff
