Lockout Switches

@ February 24, 2010 2:52 PM in Honeywell S7800 burner control

Thanks,
Is there a diagram I can lookup to see where the lockout switches are?
this problem happens when the burner is sitting for a while then tries to start up.
Its sporatic.  Ususally, i blown down the LWCO valve then it restarts.  So i am confused as to what the problem is.

thanks

Honeywell S7800 burner control

@ February 24, 2010 7:52 AM in Honeywell S7800 burner control

Hello,
I have a Honeywell s7800 burner control attached to my powerflame burner.  I am getting a Lockout Interlock error.  Its a fault code 29 on burner.  Has anyone every worked with one of these burner controls and if so do you know what this error means?

Thanks

Indoor Sensor

@ February 12, 2010 3:10 PM in Indoor Sensor

I have a VisionPro thermostat. I use a indoor sensor in one apartment while the thermostat is in basement.
I feel my indoor sensor is inaccurate. Can someone recommend a better sensor to use? The one i have is one inch by one inch mounted on a wall. I feel its too small to get an accurate reading of room temp.

Thank

Water Level

@ January 23, 2010 6:29 PM in Water Level

Hello,
I have a steam system.  Every time i drain the water to the correct level on the water gauge, it will go to the very top of the gauge in a few days.  Why do this happen? Do you think my automatic feed is faulty?

Thanks

Had to bang of LWCO for Burner to start

@ January 13, 2010 3:45 PM in Had to bang of LWCO for Burner to start

My burner would not fire at all. It went straight to lockout. When I banged on the LWCO it fired right away. Has this happened to anyone before? Does it mean it might be faulty?

Burner Trips

@ December 17, 2009 9:19 AM in Burner Trips

Hello,
I have a powerflame dual burner. It trips sporatically. It seems to trip when the burner sits for while after the temp has been set. If the temp is not set, it will cycle on off fine once I hit the reset button. However, once it reaches temp it seems to trip on initial startup again.

Any clues on this?
thanks

@ December 14, 2009 4:36 PM in Thermostat Recommendation For Gas Fired Single Pipe Steam ?

On the Honeywell Vision Pro once the temp is set how long does each cph run after to maintain the temp.  Is is fixed at 20 min or does it vary?

Here are some pics of my system.  The lowered the pressure on the two cut in controls.  however someone who works on weil mclain boilers said to need to raise both back to 2.5.  This way the boiler goes to 5psi then cuts off when the pressure builds.  Let me know what you think.

I have one last question, I use to have a heat-timer but i switch to this vision-pro.  I have a two story building with eight one bedroom apartments.  4 on each floor.  I put a remote sensor in one of the apartments and connected it to the visionpro.  i thought the heat-timer used to much fuel.  What are your thoughts on this setup or do you think i should switch back to heat-timer?

Thermostat control and Pressure control

@ December 12, 2009 8:26 AM in Thermostat control and Pressure control

Its after a long run.  I keep the temp at 68 during the day because most of the people are working at 4pm i crank it up to 71 for the rest of the night.
Should I just leave it at 71 for the entire day? I use a visionpro thermostat by honeywell.

Thermostat control and Pressure control

@ December 11, 2009 4:48 PM in Thermostat control and Pressure control

Thermostat control and Pressure controlHow do i prevent the burner from coming back on once a heating cycle is starting.
If the temp has to move from 68 to 71 the boiler builds up steam then cuts off.  Then it will come back on in a few minutes because the desired temp is not reached.  How can I control this better so it does not keeping running on off so many times before it reaches the desired temp.
