Hello Everyone,I have a new crown boiler that was installed in the spring and was used rarely during that time. In the beginning of september I noticed the pilot light was no longer on. Re-lit the pilot but noticed that within a day the pilot on the boiler was no longer on.
Decided to leave the boiler cover off and see how the pilot light would behave. The pilot has not gone out for almost 2 weeks. What could be the issue with the cover ?

HI,I had a plumbing contractor install a new Crown boiler over the holiday weekend. He removed old American Standard boiler that had a born date of 1948. This a one zone system including the basement.
My question is although this is a one zone system should a flow control valve been installed ?
