@ October 7, 2011 9:44 AM in I was glad to be able to attendIt was a very thought provoking evening. John Barba and I have been kicking some of these issues around for many years. These issues must be addressed, the questions are how and by whom? It was also great to get to spend a little bit of time with some old friends and to have a chance to make a few new ones. Thanks to everyone that helped to make the evening a success.

@ September 30, 2011 7:40 AM in heating foparsIs the mud room on a seperate zone? If not why not make it one? In any case, I would consider switching to plates vs. staple up. Is the whole house staple up? It may be that the return temp to the munchkin is high enough that it is not condensing and therefore not very efficient.
@ August 26, 2011 7:29 AM in Multiple Boiler ControllersTake a look at the i Worx from Taco. It is BACnet, LON, capable. Has a simple set up routine, and many other features including the ability to integrate all of the building HVAC systems.
@ August 11, 2011 12:48 PM in Heating statistics source?Yeah, I have a friend in Minnesota that raises corn. He is paid (by our government) to dump the excess into the river. Good for him and good for the ducks but what about our citizens who have no food? There are all sorts of programs for farmers, fisherman, and so on. They get paid to waste resources or not to grow or catch them at all. This is not capitalism. The government needs to stay out of things and let the natural evolution of business take place.
@ August 11, 2011 7:45 AM in Heating statistics source?14% un-occupied is over 18 million empty homes.
