I am wondering how much friction loss i have i my heating system.

710' of 2'' pipe
2 2" 45 degree elbows
21 2" 90 degree elbows
and then i have 3 2" close return bends where the water makes a 180 degree turn

I have a old raypack boiler that tends to burn out the front .What can causes that . I am thinking it is a draft issue . Can a bent vent cap cause that . wind is blowing.

I would replace the sink drain and the piece rite below the drain it is a plastic nut and a nylon gasket in there that to me seems to also be your problem. make sure you get the gasket that adapts to 1.25 instead to 1.5.

Did you put some kind of drain cleaner in there some products will heat up where they can melt that plastic.if you put in to much. good luck

Had a problem on a 399 .Called tech support they told me to replace the fan. So i played with it a little bit it seamed like the fan was partly ceased . Took it apart and replaced a bearing in the fan housing. I picked up for like a buck .Put it back together . Have not had a problem sense . I own the boiler.  .
