Yes It is > Overall quite impressed with the system , of course with 500 tubes it generates alot, and hot water gets used alot with the consistancy of a continually used car wash, almost a perfect match to keep some of the system efficiencies in line with the required demand. Apparantly several Evac systems out there being pumped by these bubble pumps but the one in the car wash is the only working system pump like this that I've seen ..scroll down at this linkhttp://www.latitude51solar.ca/Client_Feedback.html
Not a business plug for these guys as they do not make the geyser pump and are quite expensive , I'll stick with my PV powered pump. Paul

Watched a Bubble action pump today and was impressed as it works on the Geyser affect , no moving parts or electricity Pumping fluid for 500 tubes. Send me a private mail to see the video or more info PaulRe : why tank removal
@ April 29, 2010 3:19 PM in Removing 40 yr Old solar tank
Hi Kevin : Yes the internal coil had developed a pinhole leak of some sort ,but no external tank leaks at all .In the day these were one of the best tanks out there . Now running my Evacs into a 120 gal dual coil ss tank and a Smart 40 I'm working for overflow (temp). All pumped by a single 20 watt PV DC pump which provides nice linear /proportional control..... with 8 people in the house we use lots of water. PaulRe tank cutting
@ April 29, 2010 3:00 PM in Removing 40 yr Old solar tank
Hi HR: I cutting it into 2 foot sections with a thin kerf 5" grinder wheel , to my surprise the actual metal is quite thin ,then a couple hits with a sledge and it breaks cleanly on the cut line thru the 5/8 inch layer of Concrete. PaulRemoving 40 yr Old solar tank
@ April 26, 2010 9:44 PM in Removing 40 yr Old solar tank
Was cutting it apart to get the weight down (400 pounds) and was totally amazed at the internal condition of the tank. Very minor scale /buildup . the internal lower copper heat transfer coil was almost new with very minor scale as well. the Electric element was never wired up. Honeywell Windtronics
@ March 8, 2010 9:40 PM in Honeywell jumps into the wind business....
Back in Oct /2009 I had this reply in another group re the Honey well .... All I can say is that Honeywell Must be geting really desparate to do this for$$$ Money with such a strong reputable background as thev'e had in the past.
Must be a new blurred Vision or something . Stop preaching good power outputs in
low wind , as it is just not there.. This whole thing with sickens me big time and I'm truly appalled by there involvement with this , . That Honeywell turbine is a case in point; it can't
possibly live up to the hype the maker claims. In fact, the whole concept is
flawed. But loud marketing will get them customers, lots of customers, and they
will be very unhappy customers in the long run. Any honeywell reps out there contact me and I'll gladly call you on my Dime so i can vent

@ January 22, 2010 12:00 PM in Lochinvar Knight and Condensing temp vs efficiency
Is it in full condensing mode with 140 deg return temp ,with a 150 degree supply going out.. , regardless of flow rate thru it. Where do i find the actual Eff. curve for these temps.??? ( 2 stacked 400K BTU units)Oh : the outdoor reset has picked this temp for 18 deg F outdoor temp. and I would have assumed a bigger delta T???? Thanks Paul

Pv Output Vs temp: Speaking from experiance the output is noticeable as the graph shows ,also A nice cold clear winter sky produces real well(above rated output sometimes 15% more ) . Paul@ August 1, 2009 7:52 AM in you saw it here, folks...
Hi Tim : My Intent was not at all to slam you or your posts as I love them , But maybe to to reconfirm the seriousness of such behaviors regarding electrical safety . Alot of people do not get the second chance, and then they look back and shake there heads at how an accident could have been avoided if Some common sense prevailed. Iv'e seen much worse than this but its the ones you expect the least sometimes that KILL. Thanks for the photo..Paul@ July 31, 2009 1:06 PM in you saw it here, folks...
Hi Tim I Had sent this onto a friend who would have to deal with such incidents and stupidity nowadays and he replied back to me saying I would really like to know where this is. The person that left the door open would be subject to a $250,000 fine if anyone got hurt. Not dead, just hurt. There are better ways to keep something running. At bare minimum he would need caution tape placed 4 feet away as well as Danger Live Voltage 600v/480v signs. He may be at some legal risk if he knows and does nothing about it. I can quote chapter and verse if they like or even call in ESA for an inspection.HRV Ecm's

Hi Hr : I've always appreciated your analytical thinking approach to energy and the harvesting and movement of BTU's from whatever source. Having chased kilowatts and Btu's for close to 20 years now its been a Journey to say the least. One Long uphill battle but I am determined, sometimes just too much. Also are you willing to share the integration diagram again or is it the same as before.?? Email me off the group if required. Paul@ March 5, 2007 7:52 PM in Solar Collection Question
As to the answer to your origional question I'm pretty sure its calculated at perpendiccular to the sun. since that is Max BTU's at full sun/exposure. Correct me if I'm wrong.!!!@ March 1, 2007 9:06 PM in Solar Collection Question
Mike ..2 banks of 30 tubes at 50 deg will probably still cook your solar tank in the summer unless you dump the heat since it has to go somewhere. My tank will easily approuch the 200 deg mark. So in my case I need more tank/reserve even with seven people in this house using water. So i'm considering more tank and maybee moving the panels up to 60 deg tilt and leave them year round. Mike ..I'm real interested in your low temp heating results since my radiant stuff is not all connected yet and I nedd to dump this extra heat in spring and fall in my floor but its in the works!! Paul
