Its time.....

@ June 14, 2009 7:55 AM in Peerless and Beckett ( Ron Jr. )

to clean the coffee off the computer screen again.. DAMN YOU Mannino!

Hey......

@ June 14, 2009 7:19 AM in Peerless and Beckett ( Ron Jr. )

Dont blame me for THAT mess. And whats "a mere homeowner" know about oil lines anyway? Hey Mannino, why do you always pick on me. Its obvious you have some sort of problem. I'll meet you anytime, anywhere. Even if I have to drive 300 miles to do it. Post your picture on Daves thread so I can see what you look like first.

Me too

@ May 29, 2009 6:53 AM in Well Mclain vs Burnham

I'd LIKE to think that also. Unfortunately, reality dictates otherwise.

for the record

@ May 29, 2009 6:31 AM in Well Mclain vs Burnham

I have come across as many "high end more efficient boilers" butchered into place as conventional boilers so your theory does not apply here. Stupidity/poor workmanship/laziness knows no bounds. ESPECIALLY with System 2K installs. I'd like to see THAT general rule book. I think its in the fiction section at Barnes and Noble. Incompetance is incompetance no matter what the equipment.

Try being systematic for starters......

@ May 29, 2009 5:55 AM in Buderus Starting problems

Sounds like your in over your head with this situation. When I hear that you havent used your pressure gauge in a while and the needles broken Im not holding out much hope for your qualifications. You should probably find someone who is well versed in Riello and defer to some SOUND judgement. Setting CO2 with pump pressure??? Gotta wonder about that one. Ever hear of firing rate and air adjustments? I can see changing firing rate/pressure due to combustion problems and adjusting PROPERLY....but using pump pressure solely to dictate my CO2 is questionable at BEST. BUT.....to each his own. Sounds like your grasping for straws instead of doing what a qualified tech would do. Take a Riello class or work around someone that knows the product. Youd stand a better chance at troubleshooting and not look like a putz in the customers eyes (which by now you surely do) Jeez, you even got ME wondering. Just a suggestion. You need a Riello intervention!

Out of respect

I will abide by house rules. Heard,Understood,Acknowledged.

@ May 12, 2009 6:19 AM in Neutralizer designs?

Sorry to keep hitting the same nerve.

Poor practice

@ May 12, 2009 6:11 AM in Neutralizer designs?

to dump condensate on the ground here. We dont do it and never did for all the reasons others have already stated. Inspectors here dont like to see it either. But that is one of the pitfalls of actually having your work inspected. I cant just rely on what I think is right or wrong. I have to actually ANSWER for poor work practices.

I hate to say it

@ May 12, 2009 6:00 AM in Neutralizer designs?

But I told you so. Its NOT just MY opinion obviously.

Hey Alan

We've all been in it....

@ April 29, 2009 5:58 AM in boiler mater question

Twice as long as Dave, but Dave knows twice as much as us.

I hate to agree here.....

@ April 28, 2009 2:45 PM in boiler mater question

But youre right. What your problem Dave? Bills a decent guy and posted what he thought would help. Keep your know it all attitude and snotty comments to yourself. Its whats ruining this place.

I like them

@ April 28, 2009 9:54 AM in Energy Kinetics System 2000

Others hate them. Let the games begin!

Whats with that third leg?

Jeez.....

@ April 7, 2009 8:47 AM in Faces with posts.

You really want to see my mug? Hope you have another computer screen. I'll see what I can do after I'm done insulating my attic space. I'm sure I'll be itching for something to do. Be prepared! Maybe I can get Alan to post the one he has of he, I, and our daughters. This way, it wont be TOO hard on the eyes. ALAN!!!!! HELP !!!

Sorry....

for the double click.

I've mentioned this before........

@ April 3, 2009 7:25 AM in Replacement Combustion Chamber

so here we go again. PLEASE, for this job throw the silicone tubes, and putty, and paste, and whatever else youre using in the garbage. Go get yourself a can of the spray adhesive 3-m makes. Clean out the groove where the so-called putty is intented to go. Spray the groove with the adhesive and allow about 3-5 minutes for it to "tack up". After its tacky, press in a cut to size piece of some 3/8" thermorope. I then take the spray can and roll it over the rope to get it set in the groove. I used that putty s**t ONE TIME and NEVER used it again. Its totally inadequate for the job. I DO however have a GIANT ball of it in my truck. Kind of like a rubber band ball. Quit screwing around with putty and silicone. I've found this to be the simplest and most effective way of dealing with this. 20+ years using this method has been all the proof I need. IT WORKS!
