Lead/lag for central a/c
@ March 23, 2010 4:54 PM in Lead/lag for central a/c
I need a control that will Lead/lag 2 condensing units on seperate thermostats for a server room. The customer wants the systems to alternate for equal wear and come on in sequence for heavy load conditions. Does anyone know who manufactures such a control? Thanks in advance for your help.

@ January 6, 2010 7:16 AM in Vapor steam boiler HELP!!!!!!!!!
We installed a steam boiler recently and after posting pictures of the vents on "The Wall" we were informed that we have a vapor vacuum system and were instructed to install a #67 vent on the supplies and return. There are no vents or traps on any of the horizontal fin tube radiators. We were instructed to remove the SG low water safety to eliminate the test procedure by Peerless. The house was heating but the boiler was running for 90 seconds and then off for 30 seconds. We were instructed to install a VaporStat and towards the end of the cycle the control made a popping noise and vibrated. (Boiler has been flushed several times with cleaner). The system ran for 3 days and and then the control failed and the customer had a cold New Years. Please contact me via my e-mail address if you can lend some help.

Bert, Thank you for the heads up. I printed them off and we will speak with our customer about them.@ June 7, 2007 8:36 AM in Anode rods
Larry, You are probably right. It is stray current and I was told that it would affect the anode rod. I spoke with Buderus and they told me that stray current, possibly from poorly grounded electric could affect the anode rod. I was told that was an industry standard but they did not have anything in writing to substaniate it.Anode rods

We've installed several (7) Teledyne Laars units in closets in an apartment complex. Have worked well for the most part. Had several (3) aquastat failures - otherwise we are happy with the unit so far. Only 12 months experiencePatrick

Patrick, We are not sure it needs to be replaced. The customer has to set the system up to 5-6 psi to get the system to work. If you could call us at 845-692-4858, Ed, the owner of the company, would like an opportunity to speak with you and pick your brain a little to solve the customers problems.
