Padded gym floor covering, over radiant floor heat?

@ January 24, 2007 8:08 PM in Gym floor covering with radiant heat

Does anyone have any experience choosing a flooring material to cover a concrete slab with in-floor heat? More specifically I'm looking for some type of sports floor. And even more specifically for indoor basketball. I don't want to kill the heat. But I'm trying to replicate a nice gym floor at a reasonable price.

got it.......... thx

Best steam trap testing equipment?

@ January 22, 2007 10:18 AM in Best steam trap testing equipment?

Actually my first post is "testing steam traps" but I meant to post a more specific heading. So this is it. I'm looking at investing in a good ultrasonic steam trap tester. Any suggestions on what type, model, where to purchase, etc? Also I'm what the experts think about this method of testing. Thank You

I'm looking into purchasing an ultrasonic steam trap tester. Any suggestions on a specific model and/or a good place to buy? Also was wondering what the steam experts opinions were in regards to using this medhod. Thank You

I'm trying to find a good drawing of a false water line for a steam system. I do have the one out of Lost Art. It isn't the clearest drawing in the world. That plus I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. If anyone has a better one I'd love to see it. Thanks

Where do I dump the condensate for a 90% boiler (no close drain)

@ December 10, 2006 8:49 AM in Where do I dump the condensate for a 90% boiler with no drain?

I recently built a unattached garage with in-floor heat. I did not put in a drain. I would like to put in a high efficency boiler such as a Triangle Tube or a Lochinvar Knight. Does anyone know how much condensate will be produced on a very cold day in Michigan?
