I have read on a earler post that joist trak outperforms quick trak. Is it because you get more BTU pre square foot or is it more responsive.

gas pipe

@ March 4, 2006 8:59 AM in 3/4 \"piping to Munchkin

I just installed a munchkin m 80 last weak. I told the gas company to install 3/4 inch pipe but the installer insisted that 1/2 inch pipe on a two stage regulater with a 25 foot run would work.as soon as I turned the boiler on f09 fault. I called htp they said if there is more then a 1 inch drop in water column the boiler will go into fault. I called the gas company back only to recieve a very bad attitude. the installer said that he knows propain he has been doing this for 20 years and htp does not know what there talking about. But when he changed the line over the boiler fired off with no problems. HTP also told me that the inside diameter of the flex gas pipe is smaller then the black pipe.

I use these tanks all the time with the munchkin. make sure the senser is at the bottom of the tank. I use butt splices for my connections.

constant circulation

@ February 5, 2006 11:23 AM in constant circulation

It seems to me to have true constant circ. each zone would have to have its owne independant distrubution circ. and independant mixing device because of the individual zone heat loss and responce time. I do use weather respance controls most of which have several zones comming off of one mix. thay claim to have constant system flow but that is done by staggering zone valve starting points. Does anyone have piping schematics of a true constant circ. system.

it looks to me that you have a bottleneck problem. to many 3/4inch zones comming off of a 1 inch three way mixing walve you also have no boiler protection.
