HVAC Program Account Manager / Syracuse, NY

To support our ongoing projects in Upstate New York, ICF International is looking to fill the role of an HVAC Program Account Manager to include Multi-Family Energy Auditor responsibilities. HVAC Supply House Outreach Account Manager: Approximately 80% of candidate’s time. Candidate will visit a population of participating HVAC and plumbing supply houses that sell high-efficiency gas equipment, in support of utility rebate programs, resupply rebate program marketing materials and offering contractor counter days and other educational events and presentations designed to educate contractors about the rebate programs and to motivate them to up-sell high efficiency equipment to their customers. Also responsible for tracking all outreach activities and material distributions through a simple and easy to use program data tracking system. Multi-Family (MF) Auditor: Approximately 20% of candidate’s time. Candidate will assist in the investigation, analysis and documentation of multi-family energy efficiency measures. Job responsibilities include field visits to conduct site walk-through assessments in MF buildings, collection of a limited amount of technical information (e.g., number of apartments, heating and water heating fuels, location and burn time of existing lighting, proposed lighting upgrades, and other proposed low-cost measures such as aerators, showerheads), audit report preparation, project update entries into the program tracking database, generation of simple contract proposals to upgrade MF buildings, and presentations to MF building owners to close sale of the projects. Also responsible for conducting quality assurance (QA) field inspections of a percentage of participating MF buildings to ensure that measures are being installed properly and reported accurately. Job Responsibilities: •Conducting outreach to HVAC supply houses, including Counter Days and other events to promote high efficiency gas equipment that is eligible for utility rebates •Visiting HVAC supply houses regularly in order to provide information on HVAC rebate offers, assess their needs as program participants and receive feedback on their experience with the program •Setting up and participating in HVAC supply house promotions, technical trainings, and customer “counter days” to promote HVAC rebate to their customer contractors •Successfully motivate HVAC supply houses and their customer contractors to promote products that are eligible for the program •Receiving MF program leads, scheduling clipboard audits and delivering them in a timely and efficient manner; accurately identify eligible measures to be recommended for installation (common area lighting fixtures; exit signs; CFLs for both common areas and apartments; faucet aerators, showerheads, pipe insulation, tank wraps, and other measures that are or become eligible for incentives under the program •Presenting and closing installation contracts with MF building owners based on the recommendations formulated during the audits •Scheduling and conducting quality control field inspections on a sample of MF buildings that sign contracts, in order to ascertain that contracted measures have been installed accurately and correctly, and to receive customer feedback regarding satisfaction with the program •Maintaining strong ongoing communications with MF customers •Providing or referring customers and contractors to technical, administrative and marketing assistance •Contributing to the evolution of program strategies and the design of program features and services •Contributing to the deployment of program marketing and outreach campaigns •Tracking all activities and preparing client monthly progress reports and weekly status updates to accurately describe activities in the field and to monitor progress towards program goals on participation and installment of eligible measures Basic Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering with 3 + years of HVAC sales/or installation experience. 5+ years of related HVAC sales/or installation work experience may substitute for educational requirements •3 + years of basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Word and Excel •A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel Preferred Skills/Experience: •RESNET or BPI Certification (BPI MF Building Professional or Heating Professional a major plus) •3+ years of experience promoting energy efficiency in the multi-family, commercial or residential sectors •3+ years of experience with energy audits •Commercial Lighting background a plus •Experience with PowerPoint or Access a plus ICF offers an excellent benefits package, an award winning talent development program, and fosters a highly skilled, energized and empowered workforce.
